D300

The D300 is designed to provide superior sustained dynamic accuracy in a five–axis configuration.

Core-cooled ballscrews, temperature-controlled DD motors and spindle all combine to deliver thermal stability.  The DD- driven rotary axes provide the speed and accuracy to be productive in a wide variety of workpieces and materials.

Equipped with a 30 horsepower, 15,000 RPM, CAT40 (or an optional HSK–A63) spindle, ultra quick DD motors for A- and C-axes and high speed linear X, Y & Z motion, the D300 is designed to be a highly productive five – axis platform.  The interference-free spindle and trunion table relationship provides outstanding, close accessibility to the part – ideal for high speed machining applications
Configured with a 60 tool magazine, a quick tool change and a variety of coolant systems for chip management and evacuation, the D300 is very versatile.  Optional higher speed spindles (20,000 & 30,000 rpm), enhanced tool magazine capacity (124 & 212) and pallet changer or robot loading provide for further machine customization.

The D300 is outfitted with the Makino Professional 6 control providing a stable, secure platform with reliable performance on the NC side while providing an operator-friendly graphical user interface (GUI). This latest-generation machine tool control offers large color touch-sensitive, on-screen, menu-driven applications. Icons provide “hot links” and quick access to critical information that may be required by the operator. In addition, the new control platform provides all of the functions typical of a PC (cut, paste, copy, find, replace, etc.) that are rarely available on a machine tool control. Advanced data management technology and Makino’s proprietary, next generation Super Geometric Intelligence (SGI.5) servo control deliver the lowest cycle times achievable by reducing machining cycle times on multifaceted contoured parts, dies, complex cavities and cores by as much as 40 percent when compared to most other control technologies.
